XMAS Week (12/21-12/27)

Good Morning Ladies.

I thought we should do a topic for each week since we aren't really talkative as we usually are. So how did everyone's weekend go? Mine was busy, Saturday all day shopping and Sunday, work and shoveling. I did play with the huskies in the snow that was fun, shoveling not so much.

Hey Mary how are you? My weekend was full of soccer. We had a total of 6 games. It was alot of fun but exhausting . My dd got mvp of the whole tournament!!

Maria: Congrats to your daughter, what an accomplishment. I'm doing okay, CD 4 for me and all is well. DH and I had a talk about this whole TTC thing and his SA. I was really starting to give up and we talked and he got me back in a positive way and we're going to see what the Urologist says on January 15th. DH said he wanted to try IUI for a couple of times first then we could discuss doing IVF. He doesn't care what the docs say, it only takes 1 to do the job so if we're paying for the procedures we should have the option on ding IUI or not. I'm hoping it works out for us like it did for Andrea.

MARIA ~ Hi! What a fantastic award for your dd!

AFM ~ I'm pretty sure Alyssa is allergic to peas. She used to eat them all the time with no problem, but a few weeks ago, she threw up after just having a few bites. So I tried them again, burried in a casserole this weekend (thinking it was a taste thing). Not more than 30 minutes after eating the peas, she had green poop and a diaper rash so bad that it left open sores on her bum. She had a terrible time sleeping after that. Poor baby. i felt so guilty.

Aww poor Alyssa. That does sound like an allergic reaction to me. You might wanna call your pedi and let them now.

LISA ~ Yep, we have a pedi appointment on the 8th, so I'm just going to avoid peas until then.

PS ~ Love the changes to the background and icons. And I like having the avatars on the left. Nicely done...

How's MARCUS today? and his poops?

I honestly don't know how Marcus is doing. He had another BM last night without blood so who knows.

Kelley ~ Pea's are in the Legume family along with Peanuts, green beans, soybeans. etc

You might want to keep an eye on her whenever she eats something from that family, because having an allergy to one item in the family raises the chances of having a reaction to something else in the same family. Google food in the Legume family and watch that list.

LISA ~ Thanks! She doesn't eat peanuts yet and hates soybeans, but I didn't know about green beans. I was going to use those as a "backup" green veggie in the mean time. Darnit!

Now with all your research have you found that they can develop the allergy over time? Because she seriously used to eat handfulls of peas at a time...often. And I'm not just talking about 9-10 times...I'm talking about peas 2-3 times a week for MONTHS! and she was fine (at least I think she was).

YEP! Marcus was eating peanut butter for over a month several times a week before he had his reaction. It's common for it to not happen right away the first time.

She may be absolutely fine with green beans but just watch her. Also if she does have another rash like that give her some benadryl to see if that helps. That's what we were told to do with Marcus anytime he has any sort of reaction.

Having a reaction to 1 thing in the family doesn't mean she'll be allergic to everything in that family it just makes the chances of that happening increase.

Yeah, I actually did give her bendryl the other night. I think it helped, but it's hard to tell because her diaper rashes are soooo bad. So I think the benedryl helped clear up some of the red, but she still has open sores and small bumps all around the area. Poor thing

hi all! I'm nak. M had a terrible night last night, I have no clue what was wrong with her! I have been terrible crazy here! 2 of the girls are getting tiny baby alive doll for chistmas so I made diapers for the for christmas. they look dumb I know but I had no pattern so I wong it!



I finished a beanie hat last night DH my beautiful shy model


and our neighbor gave us eggs, the middle one is a large store bought
